State Fair is Just Around the Corner 7/30/2010 1:08 PM The MVTA will operate State Fair Express Bus Service to the great Minnesota Get-Together from Aug. 26-Sept. 6. Weekday buses will depart Burnsville High School (600 E. Highway 13) and Burnsville Transit Station (100 E. Highway 13) hourly from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Buses return from the Fairgrounds hourly from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
Weekends and Labor Day buses will depart Burnsville Transit Station (100 E. Highway 13) and Eagan Transit Station (3470 Pilot Knob Road) every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Buses return from the Fairgrounds every 30 minutes from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
Metro Transit is offering Bus Bargain tickets, when purchased before Aug. 26 from the Metro Transit web-site. Individual tickets are $4 (usually $5); a group of four (4) tickets can be purchased for $15 (usually $20). Fare paid on the bus during the State Fair is $5 per person (children four and under are free). Cash or Bus Bargain tickets only (no Go-To cards, MetroPasses, Stored Value cards, etc.)

Route 442 Changes Begin July 21 7/19/2010 8:59 AM Riders have expressed concern about the timing of Route 442 since the opening of the Cedar Grove Transit Station on March 20. MVTA planners have reviewed the comments we received, along with ridership data and patterns and we are pleased to let you know that some changes will begin on Wednesday, July 21. New pocket schedules may not be available until early September, but the MVTA web-site and schedule PDF files will be updated as of July 21.
MVTA Operates Some Reduced Express Service on Fridays During Summer 2010 6/25/2010 8:22 AM The MVTA will also operate a modified service schedule on Fridays during school closures (6/18, 6/25,7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13,8/20 and 8/27). There will also be service reductions the Thursday and Friday before Labor Day (Sept. 2-3).
